I was driving home on ocean blvd. when I come up on what I thought was a silver srt-4. It had the wing and dual exhaust but it said neon on the back instead of srt-4 it had 90 day tags. I drive past and the 3 guys in the car were staring at my car.
I pull up just enough to peek at the front and saw the fogs but there was no intercooler. The guy then mashed the gas. It sounded like a SRT but moved like a neon and got a little ahead of me and looked at the front of my car and pointed at what I believe was my intercooler and by the time we pulled even we hit the light.
He asked, (and I kid you not) "why is your radiator so low?"
and I said "I saw it on fast and the furious and wanted to be cool"
He revs and said that he had the 05' and he was gonna show the "improvments" they made on his car.
I didn't even want to race because I can't believe Dodge. Factory rice.


Although I didnt want to race I still did and by the time I was at 60 I had easily 6 cars on him.

I saw a red sxt on mercury that looked just like an srt except for not having an intercooler. I'm pissed at dodge for that one.

Yep and its got the fog lamps too with the regular neon front. Straight up factory rice.

 

I hate it when manufacturers do that shit. When they made the V6 Mustangs look identical to the GTs. Its so ghey. Another reason why I'm so much happier with my MACh.

 

It was probably a stealership modified car. They dont come from the factory like that. They are either an SRT-4 or it was a neon. The dealers probably figured some dummy would buy it if they made it look like it. Or the owner (for some dumb reason) decided to clone it as an SRT-4 without the SRT4 motor. Why in the world you'd do that is beyond me though. Hell its only 20k brand new just buy the damn thing.
