Default Secondary fuel cell for race gas...

How would I go about doing this? I was thinking a 5 gallon fuel cell with an in-tank pump. Than either running both lines from the cell and the regular tank to check valves than fed into the main fuel feed. I could just hook both pumps up to a switch and bam....race gas on tap. Or I could run both lines into one of those tee's they use for carbs. for equal fuel pressure....that way I could just have a switch connected to the race gas and when I need it, the race gas would properly mix with the 93. As for the return line I'm guessin I would only need one for the stock tank in either setup. Let me know what you think...thanx...

Either you need a fuel cell or you don't. Same goes for the race gas.

IMHO, if you knew why you needed a fuel cell- you would already know how to set it up. Why do you need it?, if you don't mind.

You can probably just tee in a fuel cell, in-line pump, and then the line into the main feed. Just have a switch for the cell pump. Your fuel regulator will maintain the pressure. You can probably find a one-way valve and put it in-line with the cell line to avoid pressurizing it from the stock pump, your in-line pump might have that built in. This is just a guess.

If you know when you are going to "tune" the motor, why not just pour the race gas into the stock tank if all you are going for is the mixed race\street octane rating. Seems to be less hassle to me

probably just for the convenience to run low boost on pump gas, then flip a switch to run race fuel and raise the boost

you can do it, but you will need a switching valve (like on pickups that have dual tanks) to do it right.

the pump in the cell will need a return also. if you dont, this will happen: the pump in the cell will be running at full volume, and the regulator will be sending all unused fuel back to the cars tank, not the cell. in about ten minutes, all fuel in your fuel cell will be empty, and your gas tank will be overfull. not to mention it will be a mix of race gas and 93...which is basically the thing you didnt want to do otherwise you would have already done that...

(cause that is what happens when a switching valve goes out on dual tank pickups....it will drain one tank and fill the other....)

Um ... that doesn't have anything to do with needing a fuel cell. Race gas is another story. I don't particuarly like motors that need race gas to produce numbers ... unless they're race cars, but that's besides the point.

He needs to do what everyone else has been doing for years. Put race gas in the stock tank and be done with it. No sense in spending hundreds of dollars for no reason.
