hey i'm new to the scene. friend of mine told me about this site. got a 04 wrx. I am looking for some help as far as modding it. Im not sure what to get first and what are the good companies. Just got rid of my mustang for the wrx. thanks

Go ahead and get a BOV, cat-back exhaust, and a turbo timer then call it a day...

Start with a uppipe and downpipe combo. Thats 20 to the wheels right there.

then get yourself a few gauges Boost, EGT.

After that...i would start with suspension and tires. The wrx shines just as much in the handling department.

p.s start playing with a mbc if you're feeling ticklish. But i don't recommend it unless you know exactly what you're doing.

 

Sorry I was just being a smart ass...... It seems like most of the wrx's in the area have these mods, and only these mods.

 

BOV's are supposedly very bad for the 04's - might have something to do with the ECU's. I've been thinking about getting one, but I'm not going to risk it. Future is right, get the uppipe/downpipe combo for some great power. If you have lots of money to spend - start looking at Cobb's AccessPort or any ECU upgrades by Vishnu/Cobb. A lot of people like to do suspension work first, but that's completely up to the owner. Enjoy the car man
