Arrow d-series turbo

i plan on getting a turbo for my y8 motor.....and i kno that the y8's arent meant for big power internally...so what is the best internals to get? like i dont plan on runnin 20lbs of boost.....maybe like between 12-15 at the max...i heard someone say that i could put ls rod in it b/c they are stronger and thicker...but can i put anything else off a stronger motor in the y8 or would i just be better off by putting stuff made for the d16y8s'??

and if anybody knows someone or if YOU have one for sale(d-series turbo) let me know b/c im lookin 4 one....low mileage, now all beat to hell, not been traded between 98734 people and isnt old then let me kno thankx

I use to own a D-series TUrbo. It was ok, but not fast enough. I ran 10psi stock internals at one time, but I had a Hondata to back it up. If you thinking of running 12-15psi you'll need a fine fuel managment system & new internals. Your D-series cant handle it. It can for awhile, but not that long.

I ran my setup for about 1 year and beat the crap out of it everyday at 13 psi. with just a fmu setup. Don's mess with the ls rods crap, rods are only 300 and would save lots of time just doing that. I would just throw a turbo on the stock motor, just in case you change to a b series and all you would have to do it change the manifold. D series make good torque and feel pretty good. I think you would be surprised. I can piece a kit together for you. later
