do these things really work? If so what do they do? Ive got an opportunity to get one really cheap and was just wondering if i should get it. thanks

my friend wasted $300 on his 5th gen while mine was still stock, he had that and an exhaust on a 4cyl auto and my slomatic was still faster stock
