common problem, 2 drivers, discussion
i'm posting on here to see what you think about this. cars that have two drivers, and run the same heat. i heard a lot of ppl at the event complaining about this. it keeps the tires warm on the car, and gives them an unfair advantage. i think the directors of the organization need to look at this topic
and for all those ppl that are gonna say, "quit whining on the board, email the ppl personally." I will. i'm not complaining, i'm seeing what other autoxers think about it.

This issue has was discussed at the last Tidewater business meeting. The result of this meeting is that double driven cars may not be in the same heat. If there is no way around that, then the 2nd driver has to wait 5 minutes before running, just like at the Nationals.
The blue Cobra you are referring to belongs to John S and a friend. John seems to think he's above the rules a lot of the time. Funniest thing I ever saw was Bobby DNF him for hitting the cones after the finish beams (which was announced as the penatly at the drivers meeting).
There is something about two driver cars in the SCCA rule book. Neither BCC or TSCC are SCCA clubs, so we have the option to do what we want. Like Beno said, at TSCC we are going to forbid them from being in the same heat unless it's absolutly impossible to do so. I don't know what BCC is going to do about it since I have nothing to do with them.

It will not make a difference as far as the Yellow Mr2 is concerned.
They are national level drivers. They are too fast no matter what.
