awesome bike dude congradulations... knowledge comes with time, but i would read magazines such as MotorCyclist and Sport Rider, also check out www.cycleforums.com or www.sportbikes.net, they have newbie forums and if you use the search function i can almost guarentee you'll find 20 people that already asked what you had to ask along with a answer, no dumb questions though, we dont all start out knowing alot, and even those that know alot don't know everything
did you have any specifici questions though?
P.S.- get some mirrors, bikes look cool with out them, but they are 10x more useful on a bike than a car

The class is definately worth it. The only reason i am taking it is because everyone has told me, if you plan on taking the riding course test seperate through the DMV, you are more than likely to fail you. But if you go through a certified school, such as TNCC, they do they testing for you as well as teach you. Then all you have to do to get your license is take the written test, and boom, you got your license!!!! My official riding course is set for the end of April, but im going to try a walk-in this weekend.
If you havent registered for the class yet, more than likely you either will get a spot for Sept-Dec or not at all. They fill out quick. I registered at the end of Jan and got that spot for the end of April, so if you register now, add atleast 3 to 4 months, and then think of all the people trying to get a bike because of all this nice weather.

Good stuff man, you got in at a good time. And i figured they would be full till Sept. by now.
I talked with one of the teachers too, and he told me out of all the classes they had last year, only 3 of the classes were classes that everyone who signed up for them actually showed up. So walk-ins do work. Try and get in early man!
