a few Zdayz photos..
this past weekend for the first time since owning my Z i was able to make the annual ZdayZ event at Tail of the Dragon (Hwy 129). It's a huge meet filled with parties, giveaways, great food, good people and of course- slaying the dragon.
every year it is getting bigger with more cars and people and more makes and models. originally just a Z event, it is now also catering to G's and GTR's. There was even an 'other' class in the car show that was won by an S2000.
Of course there were wrecks as well unfortunately, from at least one 350 and another that also brought up a bike.
I hauled up my trailer loaded down with the Z fresh out of it's 2yr hibernation still trying to burn out the old gas. (easily DONE!) also brought along the SV for its initial run at the gap and threw the knee down a few times.
I couldnt have asked for a better weekend. I miracuously found the trailer first of all, the day before leaving. I lucked out on having a long weekend- weds night to monday morning. Had a blast meeting new people and hitting the dragon for the first time in the Z and the SV. I took 3rd in my Z32 class at the show, then won a $500 gift cert for some Z parts.
Here are some pics from the event-
i was stuck on the entrance road with the other 'too low to get in the field crowd'

I'm borderline with the taillights. The thought of "MR2 tails on a 300ZX" sounds ridiculous... but I think it looks pretty tasteful from the pics. Trash the wing and it'll be pretty business.
Nice... love the LSX swap in the 350. What's going on in the pic with what looks like air filters in the trunk of something next to some kind of blower/fan/CPU looking thing?
Oh... and nice to a 300 kept up nice... always like those cars.
