so. just put exhaust on my em1. once driving it after a few hours. put some premium gasoline in it. and ill say an hour after driving it around it started doing it. it's like a puttering. its kinda like theres water in the gas or something.

 

Seems like you answered your own question, or you didn't tighten somethin properly and you have an exhaust leak.

 

one of the headers bolts broke in the head by the previous owner i believe.

 

Well if you're missing a manifold bolt, that will do it...

Not that hard to extract the stud, is there still some of it sticking out of the head? Lock some vice grips on there and try to turn it out.

Advance sells a replacement kit for like $10, comes with 2.

Or you could be a super poor ass and just put a bolt in it, as long as it's torqued properly, you're good.
