How can i tell which one is bad. The bike will stay running if i jump it and i can ride it while it is jumped but if i turn it off it wont turn back on. All the lights turn on all the time it just never has enough juice to start up.

 

sounds like a bad battery. get it checked out at an auto store or borrow a buddies battery before you do anything else.

 

i already bought a new battery and now that one has died also

 

My guess would be the rectifier. There's been a lot of discussions about these being bad on the 06-10 GSXR 600 and 750's. They even issued a recall on the issue for 08 and up models for the rectifier. Nothing for the K6 and K7 though. I'm so paranoid about mine I might just purchase one for peace of mind.

 

today i jumped the big and it was ridding fine but as the battery got lower my cluster froze

 

My buddys rectifier, stator and battery all took a shit at the same time. I'm assuming the stator fried the rectifier and then the battery.

Need to find a new stator, anyone know where? it seems the older gixxers are $130 but 06-07 are $240.00, wtf

 

True....the 06-10 GSXR 600/750's have been known to have rectifier/regulator issues. If you have a service manual the first thing that you should do is a voltage test. Usually when the rectifier goes bad you can look at it and see if it's fried....same thing with the stator.

Used rectifiers & stators can be purchased many of places for cheap (to include eBay). If you try to buy new you will get raped. If you guys have any more questions hit me up. I'm located in Suffolk and do alot of work on GSXR's in the Hampton Rds area as I know the bikes in and out.

My boy was riding and the bike died. Told him to check his main fuse and was popped. Replaced it and the rectifier started smoking. It's the box by the radiator on the left side of the bike. He took it to Sunrise awaiting anal intrusion...
