Restored 1973 Datsun 240Z - Chesapeake, VA
For sale: 1973 Datsun 240Z
Price: $9,500 Firm.
113,xxx Original Miles
Original 4-Speed Manual Transmission
Description:
This 240Z is in excellent condition both mechanically and exterior/interior wise. The car is about 85-90% fully restored. Car has always been garage kept, and one of the reasons why this car has practically no rust. There has been no major mechanical work done to it that I'm aware of. All of the restoration is in the body works, interior, and suspension. Original L24 motor starts up and runs every time the key is turned. I have the paperwork for the minor repairs done on the car, going back to the first owner; however, everything with the restoration was done by the previous owner. Car comes with repair/service manuals, service/restoration documentation dating back to 1975, and Z parts catalogs. Also included are spare and extra parts including a pair of 1972 240Z carbs.
Reason for sale:
I am selling my Z because I had intentions to Autocross the car, but it’s too nice of a car for me to race and I don’t have the time to do the things I would like with it. I am in no rush or need to sell the car, but I would like to see it go to a better home. The Z is driven weekly, so miles will go up slightly. Come out and see for it yourself. The car is much nicer in person, then viewing from the pictures.
Known Issues:
- Motor runs fine and drives great. It'll need a valve adjustment eventually, but is not required. Motor just needs some minor TLC.
- The air condition is currently not working, blows air, but it just has to be re-wired for the A/C to work.
- Has a slow oil leak about the size of a quarter from the oil pan when constantly ran. Oil pan will need to be resurfaced to fix this.
Car will be sold as-is. Buyer is responsible for all taxes and/or transfer fees. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have, I'll get back to you in full detail and as quickly as possible. Test drives available for serious inquiries only please!

Someone come check it out in person! Much nicer then what the pics have to offer. Drove it today and again, needless to say, it broke a few necks today for those turning to take a second look. BUMP!

To another Z owner!
