Default engine re-build

anyone know about how much it would cost to take a motor to a machine shop and get them to rebuild it just like a price range

probly looking at 2000. i had a price list from abacus a while ago for pistons and rings on a 10 year old block and I think the total with parts was 2400 for just the machine work and parts for piston swap.

rebuild parts are more

it needs is a new oil pump, piston rings, bearings, and cleaned of surface rust that gonna cost me out of the ass

no clue on that stuff, but if you take them the block, probly looking at around 1000-1500 if it needs to be reworked some (cylinder walls)

my friend just got his block decked, honed, new rings installed, new bearings, crank turned 10 thousandths, rods shot peened, racing pistons installed to rods for a little over $200
