BMW HELP
Is there anyone in the 804 that has some knowledge on a 97 BMW I am having some technical issues I am trying to find out what is going on. I think its all electrical....?

Hey! Thanks! I am not sure, but I may not need them afterall... we are slowly weeding through the problems and they are starting to all come together... hopefully they continue to fall in place

I've gone through the E36 ownership myself:
the window switches may just have really dirty contacts
the passenger side window is famous for crapping out
you may also get brake light/system warning lights - 99% of the time its the switch at the pedal
guibo - if it hasn't been replaced, it will be
not sure about the 4 banger but on 6 cylinder models you have to keep an eye on your coolant temps - stupid plastic impellers in water pump and the plastic neck on the rad is prone to cracking
But that's about it, I truley regret selling my old 325is

I saw you got a manual for it, is it the Bentley manual? or the Haynes?
I found it benificial to actually have both but essential to have the Bentley.
Sorry to here about the hack job, the mind boggles at why anyone would do that in the first place.

Ya we got the manual I am not sure which it is, I will look when I get back from work, but I know its been helpful in showing all of the wires and where they should go. I am not really sure what the hell any one could have been thinkin that they did all of the crap that they did.I got it from a rinky dink shop and they knew nothing about working on cars so they figured it just didnt work, lol.
