Default questions on ecu and tranny....need help....its my integra

i just bought a 01 teg LS....its a automatic.....if i change the tranny would i have to change the ecu....also would there be anything else that i would have to change to get it right?

you wouldnt have to change teh ecu, it would just be a good idea. the cams may be different between the auto/manual LS's...

well...auto/manual b16's use diff. cams....so it might be the same w/ LS's. changing the car to a 5 speed is going to be a pain too....

are you trying to do a 5 speed swap or are you just trying to put a new auto tranny on the car?, if your doing the conversion, your gonna need alot more than just a tranny.........

you need way more than just a tranny, ......i dont know exactly what you need but heres some stuff........

pedal set
clutch master cylinder
shift linkage
new clutch lines(i think)
new center console(if you want it to look nice and not like crap)
and im pretty sure you need a 5 speed ecu and some wiring has to be reconfigured, oh and alot of money.........thats just for starters, im sure youll need alot of other crap.......

rear tranny mount is different as well. it takes a lot of time and a lot of money. if you want a 5 speed LS, sell the one you have now and buy a 5 speed LS. it will be cheaper and easier overall.
