CF Hood repair

Anyone in the area re-gel cf hoods? Just purchased one and the gel coat is fubar'd on a few spots. Suggestions?

i had mine clear coated, the gel coat won't last

I've been told to sand it down w/ fine grit paper and smother the bastard in fiberglass resin... Or you could "V" out the cracks and put bondo in the cracks, sand it down, paint it...

I have a CF hood thats completely fucked and I ended up just painting mine...

You need surfboard resin because the Fiberglass resin is kinda opaque. Board shit is perfectly clear. Sand the f'd spots but don't hit your weave- bring it down to a REALLY fine grit. I went to liquid then I built it back up with board resin, sanded and reshot with clear
