can any one tell me a list of things of things that would take out your fuel pump and your spark at the same time on a 91 da? I accidently left the key on while adjusting the lash on the valves,i started it up when i was done,sounded a lot better but smoked like crazy (white) cut it off,restarted it,ran good,smoke stopped, cut it off. 5 min later,started it again,ran for 5 seconds,cut off,wouldn't start.no spark,no fuel,pump not even running.changed out cap,button,ignition coil,modulater,still nothing!wtf! bad fuel pump?only car on the road,need it to run asap,HELP

 

change your main relay

 

im with this guys or check some fuses

 

ecu fuse under the hood 10amp....

main relay could be it also.

 

Have you checked that the grounds are reconnected after you put the valve cover back on? Reset the ECU just for giggles, but that shouldn't affect anything.

 

checked all fuses,ground is good,fuel pump does work(just couldn,t hear it)main relay is located were?

 

fuel pump worked last night,but nothing today.still no idea,can i test the main relay so i dont burn up more $

If you dont have spark, it could be a ground. But DA's are notiorious for going through coils and ignitors.

 

no fuel,no spark.the fuel pump stopped working,then stoopped,the started,then stopped again. ignition coil didn,t fix it,ignitor is....th block under the coil with 4 or 5 wires?

it's either bad or you have a fuse or relay or wire wrong somewhere as stated, It's the only thing that controls both fuel AND spark
