Item: Remington 597 & accessories
price: $500 or trades
Hello Everyone,
Here's another one of my "toys" I'm having to sell since I'm still looking for work. This is a Remington 597 with the following upgrades & accessories:
-Custom Dyed Red Competition Stock
-Competition Volquartsen Hammer (reduces trigger pull & makes it clean/crisp)
-Competition Volquartsen extractor (longer lasting, no stovepipe rounds)
-Polished internals (by gunsmith)
-Barrel devibrator (improves accuracy)
-aftermarket muzzlebreak
-Remington 3x-9x zoom scope with rings
-OD Green Synthetic hunting stock
-two factory 10 round mags
-one 30 round banana mag
With this gun I've been able to shoot groupings just under a half inch at 50 yards, and just under an inch at 100 yards. I usually screw with my buddies by shooting their closepins off their targets and 100 yards and dropping them to be funny. I've used this for fun plinking, for hunting small game (squirrel rabbit), and for competing. With the price of ammo going up and up it's nice to have a .22lr since you can still get 500 rounds for $10 at walmart. This is a great gun for learning good shooting techniques. If you can shoot tight groupings at 100 yards it prepares you for shooting those tight groupings with larger calibers at longer ranges. And it is inexpensive to shoot over and over and over. It's a great gun that's a lot of fun. I'm mainly looking for cash but I will consider firearm trades. Thanks for looking and here are the pics:
