I have a 95 hatchback with a b18 with t3/t4 turbo.car runs great but looked under the hood the other day and saw a little oil looks like coming from the head gasket.Looks like im gonna need a new head gasket and was thinking a cosmetic would be the best?bought the car with the setup already in it so not sure what head gasket is on there now.bought the car off here about a year ago it was a red eg that had del sol wheels on it at that time.Don't have the money right now to build the bottom end up gonna wait till spring or summer but anything else i should have done(arp head studs,etc.)while the heads off for now?any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.thanks guys in advance..

 

It could be a number of other things. Don't be so quick to assume headgasket.

Check the distribtor o-ring and the vtec solenoid gaskets. Also check the cam plug.

Many have success with cometics and many have success with oe's. For my current build, im using cometic.

 

thanks i appreciate the advice.i just wish i lived closer to va.i live in baltimore and came across this website and i love it but it sucks if i wanna buy something or in this case have a shop or someone look at it/work on it.it's just a hike to va but anyway thanks again man..
