Exclamation Why does the oil light flash? rebuilt sleeved gsr

Ok my next door neighbor Jason just had a b18c motor fully built , he is in the break in stage the car has only 100 miles on it,oil has been changed two times since initial startup, after starting up and idling for 30 seconds the oil light started to flash yesturday, so he immediatly shut her off, and checked the oil it was perfect level and clean,he changed the oil sending unit and that wasnt it and checked the connection, everything good, so were asking around to troubleshoot this and hoping it aint the oil pump or a bearing seizing up oil pressure

BY THE WAY the motor has sleeved 84.5 mm GSR, built by a shop in va beach(not naming the shop yet) thats a whole other issue, anyways eagle rods, wiseco turbo pistons, type r cams, full headwork, oversized valves, the whole nine, has new oil, water pump, and he changed to a new sending unit still the same way, after 30 seconds the oil light flashes repeatedly, he is not a mechanic and im not really either,he called the shop and he is being blown off now and told no warranty on performance parts,he has already taken the car back for antifreeze leaking from the head, he thought they were going to fix it free.....nope 308 dollar bill to correct what should have done right in the first place in my opinion, when the motor was installed by a close friend of mine he had to set the one cam back because it was 9 teeth off for the motor to even fire up, after that the car has ran smoothly with no problems until this, so he is debating taken it back to the shop afraid of what bill he might face, its kind of ridiculous , that was the reason he had the shop build the motor thinking they would do it all perfectly, i feel bad because hes got a lot of money sunk in this shit and its one thing after another
PLEASE any suggestions on what would cause the oil light to flash after idle for seconds besides sending unit, car has not been boosted and only 100 miles on easy driving break in...............thanks to all

I am not sure, but are you saying it flashed for 30 seconds or that it starts flashing after 30 seconds.

I could be wrong, but isn't a flashing oil light for 30 seconds or so a light saying you need an oil change based upon miles passed since the last time the light was reset? Have you tried resetting it?

Don't know, just making sure you are not overlooking something real simple.

it flashes after running for 30 seconds , he shuts it off so it never runs after the light flashes for 30 seconds how do you reset the oil change thing, key in the cluster ?

Should be holding the mile reset button with the key at position 2 for 30 seconds or some shit then starting the car. Should be in the manual. Like I said, just making sure you aren't overlooking something simple, although that should come on right away, not 30 seconds later.

get a real oil pressure gauge on it. Factory light comes on when it has 7lbs or less of oil pressure. But, could be just the wire shorting out somewhere. Oil pressure gauge would tell you whats going on.
