Need to move a GAS PIPE
i need to move the gas pipe to my stove about 1 inch so the stove can be flush with the wall.
i've tried to move the pipe a couple of times, but i just cant seem to get it off so im trying to either get some tips on how to get this pipe off OR find out if someone on here has a little know how in this area and if they would be willing to do it (for pay of course).
i already have the shorter pipe.
also, im not crazy and i was sure to shut off the gas at the meter etc. etc. and took all applicable safety precautions. thanks in advance for any advice or referrals.

Are you having trouble just getting it loose? I change/replace gas valves/lines on a weekly basis and I normally spray the threads as best as possible and then put vice grips on one side to keep it still, and use channel locks on the other. Normally gets it loose then disconnects.
I would have to see it to know exactly what I was dealing with.

WD-40 or something similar. Doing this with hopes that there isn't a huge amount of pipe dope already on the joints. If I saw a pic I could definitely help out some more.
