the trans on my daily went out, and my other car is still in non-working order. so, i need to get the daily fixed a.s.a.p. i 'm pretty sure the differential turned itself into shrapnel. this is for a toyota six-speed (matrix xrs). the stealership wants ~$4k for installing a remanufactured transmission, aamco in manassas wants ~2700 for the same. i can get a new transmission for $2400 or a used one for $1000 from various vendors online. i could do the work myself, but down time becomes an issue.

anyone know of a good transmission shop in the warrenton/manassas area?
