my friend has a fully build b16 boosted running 35 pounds safely and has no headers and hes been runnin it like this for about 2 years now with no problems so i say no it wont unless something gets in there to fuck it up

He meant with open ports, not with no header.

And yes, you can burn your valves doing that.
