So I finally bought another bike - 2008 Ninja 250R
Introduction:
To start off, I've been in the market for another bike. I've been looking at F4is, SV650s, Katanas, etc. I found a decent deal on an '08 Kawasaki Ninja 250R from a private seller and went to check it out. My first bike was an '06 Kawasaki Ninja 250R and I have to say the new '08s are a world of difference. I've been on various other bikes before but sitting on that 250R just felt right.
Reason for buying the bike:
I still consider myself a beginner/novice. I had limited seat time on my first bike and other bikes. My main focus is to become proficient with cornering and maneuvering. I know many may balk at the idea of buying a 250cc bike but I believe this was the right choice for me. I really felt like I was in control of the bike rather than vice versa. My plan is to become more comfortable with riding and get more seat time before moving on to a bigger bike.
First impressions of the bike:
Besides the obvious aesthetic change there are a few things I wanted to note about the bike itself. Just sitting on the bike you can tell it has much more of a sportier feel than the previous generations. You "sit-in" rather than "sit-on" the bike...if that makes sense at all. The suspension seems much firmer and solid. I haven't had a chance to really push it yet but the engine seems more responsive than my '06. The transmission seems a little notchy but I'm sure it will be more fluid once I break it in.
Planned mods:
- Eliminate rear fender (working on fabricating brackets for license plate/lights) - done
- Install flush mount turn signals
- Install seat cowl - done
- Custom mount frame sliders
Conclusion:
I would definitely recommend this bike to riders of any level. It's a fun bike and still has quite a kick regardless of it being 250cc.
**Here are a few quick pics of how the bike sits. Sorry the pics suck. Been having problems with the CCD sensor that is suppose to be replaced.**

Wanted to say thanks to Jose for helping me clean up the bike!

Yep, that's what I heard too. I actually picked mine up from a private seller for a good deal.
I wanted to get the 250 as my starter bike i mean you can't beat the price for a brand new bike. But i've always wanted a bike that was stretched
i'd like to see a 250 stretched haha.
