Any one else experiencing the smoke caused by the forest fires in the Dismal Swamp? I was just returning home from work and noticed a familiar smell in the air, but not one that's typical of City Center or city life in general, for that matter. I can only assume it's affecting the majority of the 757... This is a first experience for me with the affects of a forest fire and it's pretty bizarre. Hopefully they get it contained soon.

 

For the last two days its been clear, but Tues night you could hardly see in Chesapeake because of the smoke.

Now its come back .... but no where near what it was Tuesday.

I live about 10 miles from it

 

I just walked outside to pee, and I could easily smell it.

 

It has been pretty smokey in Buckroe a couple times this week, could hardly see driving home a little while ago. F'n sucks.

 

I've woke up to the smoke and smell a few times earlier this week. The smell is awful.

 

Yep. I can smell it on me right now after coming in from the garage.

 

Nothing in this part of Norfolk. Tuesday was awful, though.

exercising on my bike this morning sucked. Breathing that shit in and now I smell like I rolled around in an unclean charcoal grill :|

 

Now I'm starting to smell it.
