I grew up riding dirt-bikes so I have an interest in lighter bikes. I've been wanting to get one for awhile now, and was considering the SV650S. Since summer came around the SV prices have gone up, though. Anyone have any suggestions on what I could be looking for in the 600cc + 4k range?

depending on what year range you're looking at, you're limited with a 4k budget, ESPECIALLY this time of year. EVERYTHING is going for rediculous prices.

 

check SVrider.com . they have pretty good deals there... most aren't local tho, so u would have to have it shipped or go get it.

 

Unless your looking for a track bike or a stunt bike, you might have to up your budget a little bit. Well, you might be able to get on a F3 or F4 for that amout. Maybe a bandit too.

 

03/04 zx6r 636 are light...you prob could get one for 4k

 

dont listen.... a first gen sv650 is as light as a 08 gixxer 600... pretty fugin light... a second gen is bit heavier.. and the 08 is the heaviest...

 

sv's are good bikes.. but hate wheelies...



but i would look into more into the hondas.. f1-f2-f3-f4is are good bikes all-around.. im riding a 87 cbr600 and i dont have a problem keeping up with everyone.. lol sum on here can speak up..

 

You can only keep up because I am running a 40 tooth sprocket atm.
