so my integra 96 ls has been ticking when the idel gets over 1500 rpms and i took it to the shop they took the valve cover off and adjusted the valves and said they were very loose i drive it home today and the ticking is still happening.. do i have to let the motor adjust to the new valve tension i took the car up to about 4000rpms at the highest when i shifted on the way home and it was about a 10 to 15 minute drive home. so please help me out.

Did they adjust them when the motor was still hot or cooled down? And you sure it isn't your fuel injectors ticking?

Are you using the proper oil weight, and it the oil level fine?

dono when they adjusted them and yes the proper oil level and weight.

How long was it running before they adjusted the valves? How long did they wait to let it cool off before adjusting them?

it sat for like 3 days before they took a look at it and took the valve cover apart so i dont know anymore than i droped it off friday and they looked at it monday.

is it ticking when you get up into rpms? i had a cracked flywheel when i heard my ticking. it didnt at idle but when i went up on rpms it got louder and louder. does it do it when its warmed up also. something like a wrist pin or something.
