I just got a temporary beater from my brother, who just recently installed a cd player in the car. Everytime the turn signal goes on, a fuse blows (the turn signals, gas/temp/rpm gauges go out). So I'm sure his installation is the cause of the problem, but I don't know where to look for mistakes, so anybody that can help me, please do!

check the wires he put together. if his power and ground arent connected to the right wires or locations, then it could cause that

PMd....well I'm sure he's busy. I know last time I talked to him he was just getting back from a trip. And as for checking for grounds, etc, I know nothing. I couldn't tell you if it is grounded in the right spot or anything.

 

Check where the ground wire is connecting to.

 

is the stereo connected with a wiring harness. A friend of mine didnt use one and kept blowing fuses but when he got one everything was fine
