Need an inspection for my 99 SI, just bought it a couple of days ago but in NC. The car is really low, and it has 25% tint on it. Some tell me that will fail, some wont. Brand new tires and front rotors. Never had a lowered car, or one with tint either so never worried about it...

Drive it down to Richmond, there is a place that will take a look at it for free. 7700 Midlothian Turnpike. They'll hook you up.

 

they look at it for free? and i just pay for it if i pass it? I live about a hour from richmond.

 

 

Noticeably slammed suspension outside of OEM specs will fail it.

 

My 98ex passed with 5% tint, slammed, exhaust, etc. It all depends on the guy doing the test, I was told by someone who claimed to be an inspector that they couldn't look at your tint, I don't know at the suspension.

 

They sure can look at tint. They look for any distortion on the glass for starters.

I think what he means is that the amount of light that passes through is not inspected. Poorly installed tint can fail, but properly installed tint should not no matter how dark it is...unless it is installed on the windshield.
