adjustable cam gears?

ok i was looking into getting some type r or skunk 2 cams for my stock b16, but what i was wondering, is it necessary to get adjustable cam gears? and if I do, how do I know the proper way to adjust them and what to adjust them to? thanks

IMO any aftermarket cam needs to be degreed in.

Knowing how much to put into it is the key and isn't very easy.

Adjusting them is easy though.

so how do you figure it out? isnt there alot of math involved to get it just right?

what about for an ls? can you use the adjustable gears for any ole' b series?

yes, it depends on what mods you have, but if its stock i dont think you need it.

im wondering how you know what to set them too though
