bseries axel question..

i was told that auto n manual axels r different. auto is longer than manual. is this true?

i tried the manual axle in my little brothers auto civic and it worked but we didn't use it
oh and its a singlecam by the way

i mean...it works on my car...its just that the wheel sticks out more than its supposed 2...
