World famous British automotive TV show Top Gear might be no more. Presenter Jeremy Clarkson said in the U.K.'s Sun newspaper this weekend the program won't be returning.


At the end of the last episode of the season, Clarkson closed saying: "We don't know when we'll be back." The BBC claims Top Gear will be back for a summer special, and will start a new season in the fall.


"After last week's Top Gear, the TV announcer said it would be back in the summer," Clarkson wrote. "Can I just say, it won't be."


Mr. Clarkson, and co-hosts James May and Richard Hammond are rumored to be in rows with producers over the future of the show. The show's management purportedly wants more celebrity appearances and less focus on cars.


Then why call the show Top Gear?

 

I really enjoyed that show. Although I def felt the changes even with this season. Lots of random skits (Limo, Space Shuttle, Trip To USA, ETC). Looks like people will be getting their reviews from Fifth Gear from now on.

I noticed the stars were there more to do plugs than anything else this past season. I hope they can work something out.

 

if it goes down, ill be soooo saddd i love that show, i love everything about it.

 

I love this show so much and would love to find a box set of it with US region coding

 

i got my episodes off of torrent, all episodes and all of this season. I remember specifically the ending of last episode when he said that and the BBC lady contradicting what he said at the credits of the show....if they let this show go, im sure alot of people would be truly dissappointed.

 

jeez wow first music (hip-hop is dead) and now tv shows it almost seems there doing what they can for the money rather than making use of creativity focusing on the content.
