police bust motorcycle chop shop in norfolk
Police in Norfolk have broken up a stolen motorcycle ring! They found bikes reported missing from Virginia Beach, Norfolk, and even York County!
From the Southside to the Peninsula, motorcycles have been disappearing for months. Then on Wednesday, police got a digital page from Lo-Jack tracking device attached to a stolen 2007 Suzuki. Police traced the bike to a storage unit in Larchmont and then to a house near Old Dominion University. That's where police arrested 29-year-old Steven land. Ron Perea watched as police searched the property.
"They came out with rubber gloves, cameras, and they started taking pictures of the house and started bringing out boxes upon boxes of what appeared to be equipment for motorcycles," Perea said.
One bike expert estimates the value of the parts at between $100,000 and $200,000.
Now that police have blown the lid off this illegal chop shop, Land and another suspect are facing felony possession of stolen property charges.
Police say more arrests could follow, but only few lucky bikers will get their stolen wheels back.

To be honest dude.
It's probably cut up and buried somewhere. I'm glad we found my car. It was stripped but we got it back.
A big
to the Police. The fucking cops didn't even do anything about my car that was stolen. I even had a list of the names of people who were involved. It's ok. I'll see them at the track and things will go down out there.

You know what is pitiful..... It took someone installing a Lojack on their bike to find these scumbags. It seems as if the cops in this area don't solve a crime unless the evidence is handed to them on a silver platter.
