Twin Turbo kits, or SC kits for 06-07 Mustang GT?
My step dad is looking into buying a new Mustang GT and selling off his 02 V2 Supercharged Mustang GT [auto.]. He wants to know what he'd get the most bang for his buck out of? Whether it be a TT kit, or an SC kit.. I told him to talk to the guys over at DTP that did his work before.. but he wants me to look into it still. Any reference points, knowledge, proof, etc would be greatly appreciated!
turbo will always have more potential to make power, but the SCs will be alot cheaper and easier to install. Just depends on how deep his wallet is.
First you have to define "bang for the buck". Once you get the components to do a turbo setup, your dollar per horsepower ratio can go up pretty fast.. It's all about how much power he wants to make: moderate, high, stupidly crazy, etc...
You're really kind of stuck in a certain box with a supercharger, but if that's all the power you want to make, and you're happy with that, perfect.

FWIW there's a guy w/ a sweet black new GT that has been to Jenro's a few times. The car is ultra-sleek w/ only a nice lip spoiler and CCW SP-500s. It's got a built short-block, ported heads, adn a KB making over 600 rwhp. Plates say CYA Z06.
How much power is he looking to make? What kind of drivability does he want? Is this a daily driver or fun toy?
If you want turbo, go Hellion. Blower, either Novi or KB.
^ Tim... in an ideal world turbo is better... but in the world of a cramped mustang engine bay a KB fits much better.
The turbo fittament is way to tight for my liking. Hey... does STS make a kit for the Fords yet?
