I would think that you would fail due to the lack of airbag.

you dont have to have the airbag... you just have to ensure that the SRS light has been disbled (or is out).

+ 1. This seems more important for vehicles that were only equipped with an airbag on the steering wheel. Although, when they plug your VIN into the computer, it will tell them that your car came with a 2 airbags from the factory, they will look for 2 airbags then.

Really though, it takes less than an hour to remove a steering wheel with the right tools. Why not just put the stock one back prior to getting it inspected?

^^^I agree, it really not worth it. Do you really plan on racing?

Doesn't really matter if he does or not, some stock steering wheels are hideous looking. If you mod your car you really shouldn't expect to pass inspection or emmisions legally...

i want to take it for security purposes. My car was stolen two weeks ago. I posted about it. So i want to get a quick release with a aftermarket steering wheel to take off for the added security. Not for racing. Anyone with some real experience with this. I don't want suggestions but if someone actually knows first hand.
