S13 Brake Problem
Ok, I bought a set of rotors off eBay, decided to finally put them on so I changed the pads & rotors, etc. Went to drive the car and it felt like it was dragging. Came back home and I've got nice black lines on the outside of the rotor from where the pads are rubbing. Measured the rotor and it is slightly thicker than the stock rotor. The pads are fine on the backside, but on the front they are rubbing. Any suggestions?
This might be a dumb question, but did you push the piston into the caliper before the put the caliper back on, or did you just forst the pads over the new rotors..
If you didn't jam the pads on over the rotor then its gotta be sticking somehow. Either that or the rotors are warped. If the pads fit over the rotors without having to bang them on there then it makes no senes for them to be rubbing like that unless (a) caliper is stuck or (b) rotor is warped. Is it doing it on both sides or just one?
