A historic landmark in Manassas has been sold and will be leveled by developers in about a year, a source said Wednesday.

yeah so what im a potomac news junkie, their website reports old dominion was sold , so now they will build houses and there goes a track, love pwc more houses yayyyyyyyyyyyyyy bullshit , like i said i have never raced there on their 1/8th but it is just the point that for the people that did they have nowhere to go locally now

 

That is bulls*** all they are doing is building freakin housein in this area its making it hard as hell to get around with all these cars now, this sucks I hate living in PWC.

Yep it sucks.. They were saying last year that this year was the last.. The rumor just finally came true.. I guess finding bacteria in the water source was a sign that it's over..

 

Don't forget about summer duck since you guys like 1/8 mile tracks. Other wise you 1/4 mile junks still travel to haggers town and St charles county.

 

Well last time I checked they have an oval, and its like $150 to rent it...I was hoping to take my FC out there after some suspension mods

 

i heard about this sometime ago that it was going to be torn down in 2-3 years? Im almost sure its more than 150 to rent out the track.

 

yea its deff sad to see it go.... My first track i ever really went to was ODS and since then ive been hooked. I can remember sitting in the stans watching my uncle race down the 8th and watching my cousin race around the oval. 10 years later I was racing down the 8th in my 300zx twin turbo. Last season was the first time we had our slomaro dont and i went on foot brake a 6.0 pass with no nitrous or trans brake launch. This year i hope to tune the car there with the trans brake/wheelie bars to make sure the car launches correctly before spraying the 300 shot on top of 800hp the motor already makes. So its deff going to be sad when they tare down the track because its nice to have a track 20 min from you let alone one where the people who run the track are nice and I know them all by name so they tend to help me out.

Sad to see a historic piece of VA motorsports go away. If I had any sort of money, I'd try to develop a 1/4 mile track in NoVA. This area could really use one.
