Help with car audio
Need a little help with an audio problem , Ive got infinity mids and dome tweeters in the doors, 2 speakers behind the seats and 2 jl 8s in the trunk. I'm pushing this with a 4 channel kenwood.
recently, the 2 door speakers on the pass. side will cut out. they will pop at high volume. These are brand new speakers with the crossovers hooked correctly. the speaker behind the seat on the pass. side is fine, no cutting out. I'm stumped....any help is appreciated.

Sounds like a loose/bad connection. If you have a bad connection, wire corrosion, etc., they will do funny things at high volume because they are having problems getting power consistantly. You can think of it in the same terms as battery cable problems causing your engine to start or run poorly.
It's also possible that there is something wrong with the connections in the crossover. I'm guessing it's not an amp problem, especially if you have other speakers on that channel that are behaving properly.

btw: What are you running with the 4 channel? If im reading your post right you have 6 "speakers."
all this was hooked up when I got the car, the speakers behind the seats are just running off the radio I believe...I'm going to start checking all the connections today....thanks for all the help.
It's an infinity component set, bets are the crossover is bad. They're famous for this. I've got about 10 of their crossovers brand new still sitting in my tool box from having to replace them under warranty when I was still installing at circuit city.
