You may remember my post "my car was almost stolen." Well, I woke up this morning, the 21st of April, and it was gone. I live on the 700 block of Lake Edward Dr. That's in the Newtown rd, Baker area. An Integra was stolen just 11 days earlier around this neighborhood. I'm not as upset as I thought I would be. I guess knowing my car was broke into already the same night a car was stolen has prepared me for the fact that I was probably going to have my car stolen. Hopefully insurance hooks me up. I still owed like 9K on the car.

Get a GOOD alarm system AND move out of these neighborhoods. (I wish I could have afforded to)

Forgot to mention, my car was a black 2000 Si. It was lowered, the interior was being redone to a "type R", and I have about $1000 worth of stuff sitting my floor that was going to go into the car.

A cop's here with me making a report and he said a '92 hatch was stolen at about the same time around the same area. This sucks! Does that car belong to anyone on here?

 

Fuck! You guys have a RIDICULOUS car theft rate in that part of Virginia apparently. Every day it seems like there's a new "my car was stolen" thread.

Insurance is inadvertantly higher in your area, I'm sure, because of all of the theft. Not only do you get stuck losing your car, but you pay higher insurance premiums because people in your area are thieves.

 

This is fucking rediculous. Thats like 6 or 7 cars that I have heard of in the past 3 months. Time for me to get a beater and garage my teg. I will cry if my shit gets stolen.

I wish I had picks. It's just a black 00 Si, it's lowered and it has red tenzo seats. But you know, it doesn't really matter. No one out here is getting their cars back. I talked with the cop and I was amazed at how many honda and acura reports their were. They haven't recovered a single car. So, that tells me that the thieves network is pretty good to be able to steal all these cars, sell the parts, and leave no evidence. It's not just a few punks out there stripping cars and leaving the shells behind.

Thanks everyone. I'm not clinging to any hope of seeing the car again. I really liked it and I had great plans for it, but I guess it's time for something different. I filled my claim with my insurance company, and when that's all resolved I want to get a 92-95 hatch. Nothing that's all modified, I want to do that part myself. So, if anyone knows of civic meeting my needs let me know.
