it depends on what you want to do with the car,and what your goals are.

road racing? autox? Drag racing? circuit racing? street/strip car??

i take it you want to go faster in a straight line..well if you want a mildly quick car..i reccommend turbo...b16 bottom ends are worthless, and yield no torque what so ever, even with a lot of compression/mods. Hell, theres a guy up here only making 136wtq,and his GS-R is fully built..so imagine how much torque you're going to make.

First, start off with your Intake system..get a cold air intake,Skunk2 or Edelbrock intake manifold, upgrade your TB to atleast 68mm. Next,if you have down time that you can spare..send the head off to get a mild port job..just to make the air flow better, and air/fuel atomization better. After that..if you can get a hold of them,i reccommend some GSR,CTR,or ITR camshafts, unless you want to go aftermarket..and if you go aftermarket,i highly suggest you upgrade your whole valvetrain (springs, retainers, seals,Guides,Valves, etc) to accomodate the higher lift/duration.

i wouldnt waste time on a header, unless you are going the all motor route...theres plenty of "Starter" turbo kits around dragva,or in the Virginia area..try to find a kit where the turbo has no shaft play, the pipes are mandrel bent, and the Downpipe is 3'' (2.5'' will work, but you will wish you had 3'' later)

if you have anymore questions, feel free to PM me.

Small mods = Intake, full exhaust, headers, type r cams, VAFC
Tiny mods you should already be doing - Better plugs and wires, racing brake fluid...full tune up stuff

That should increase HP a little but definitely make the engine more responsive

A few bigger mods - LSD tranny and racing clutch and lightened flywheel

I would definitly not try to turbo it with out a intercooler. If you want a cheap turbo setup PM me I can put on together for you. What are your intentions for the car? What type of power are you looking to make? What type of times are you looking to run?
