Default what do you wear?

i'm curious to see what all of you wear out there while riding. Being that I will be shopping for this stuf quite soon, I am trying to see what I'd like to get before hand, so i don't have to wait to ride my bike.

Some of my questions are:
Mesh jackets, are they a good idea? I have heard that they keep you a lot cooler, but if you fall and slide wearing one, that it doesn't protect your skin that much.

Also, what do ya'll wear for boots? I'm not a big timberland fan, so I'd definatley like some other options.

Mesh jackets are the next best thing to leather for protection, if you think its to hot to wear leather, you better put on the mesh. Proper safety says wear boots/shoes that cover your ankles, i just wear whatever. Alpinestar and Joe Rocket offer some nice alternatives to riding boots.
More on the mesh jacket, it will hold up just fine in a crash however, after 1 crash, trash it. The mistake made by most concerning jackets is fitment. You want the least amount of slack in a jacket as possible. If you are wearing a loose jacket and crash, it most likely will slide up on you putting your skin at the streets mercy.

RIDER641 pretty much summed it up.

What I wear everyday I ride. Leather jacket, leather riding gloves, Jean Pants, black timberlands or some vans, and of course a helmet.

I do ride with my leather jacket on in the summer. It has mesh zipper vents on the biceps and in the lower back area which do a decent job at keeping me cool while Im moving.

I've got two new jackets i just bought. All my jackets have been mesh material by Joe Rocket. My first two jackets had holes burned into them: 1 hole was from me leave my jacket over the ehaust when i started it and the 2nd one has a hole burned into the arm of it from the asphalt I was dragging on during my wreck (better it than my skin).

I ride in jeans, thinkin about getting riding pants. I just replaced my black timbs with some white Icon Motorhead boots, they are SOOOOOOOO ill!!!

i wear these every day and just keep a pair sneakers at work to change into...

if its cold or calling for rain i wear my alpinestars roam, fully waterproof and thermal lined

but at the very very least i wear high top timberlands

as far as pants you can get regular jeans with kevlar panels stitched into your impact areas, or wear a full leather, i bought dragon jeans and icon's version of them and didn't find either very comfortable

LOL. Mesh doesn't compare to leather in any way at all. A completely mesh jacket is about a step up from a long sleeve t-shirt. Only way mesh works is if the impact areas like the shoulders, forearms, elbows and back are covered in thick solid textile or leather. Mesh wears through very quickly and scrubbing melted mesh out of your road rash isn't any fun at all
