1996 Cobra?
One of my customers is trying to sell a 1996 Cobra convertible. He is asking $15,000 for it. Is this too much, or about right?
Its paper filter stock, with tan leather and tan top, and that mystic paint...kinda burgandy. It has 18,000 miles.
He knows I'm into cars and wants me to ask around to see if anybody is interested, but before I post this in F/S threads I wanted to know if his asking price is on par.
thanks for any help.

To my knowledge Mystic Cobras only came with black cloth or black leather interiors so I'm going to say that its not a "mystic", it just has chromalusion paint. If so that will kill it for me, and probably will bring down the value a little.
However, the fact that it is stock and has low mileage is a plus.
Sight unseen I'd say its a reasonable price, but I'd have to see pictures.

chromalusion is probably it because it doesn't change colors drasticly.
I've gotta get some pictures for when I do the F/S thread, from what I've seen its immacualate , never been in the rain from what I was told.

I would say that 15k is a little pricey even with the mileage. Like Phil said, I would definitely have to see some pictures to decide if that paint would drastically alter the worth of the car. However, if the car would sell for premium value, it would certainly be right before summer gets here.
