does anyone know if there is a law of entrapment in VA. can a cop sit in complete darkness and run radar?

Entrapment would be you on the road and him egging you on to race and then you do and him pulling you over for it.

AFAIK and IANAL, but him sitting on the side of the road without any lights on is perfectly legal.

Not even that would qualify as entrapment.

nope. and if it was an issue, the judge is going to belive him and not the speeder anyway.
