turbo question

i bought a turbo kit from Ebay...
comes with a t3/t40e turbo, intercooler, 38mm wastegate, piping + a couple more things. i also got from another auction a set of 9.0.1 JE pistons with plasma moly rings(they said it was the best rings for boost or NOS).
with the pistons come a set of eagle H beam rods.

my questions are... pardon me if they are one too many...

-has anyone bought a turbo kit from ebay, and are they reliable?
-is the t3/t4oe turbo any good? i did some research and from what i read it seems alright.
-what do ya think about the JE pistons with the rings. and the rods.
the pistons have a +.20mm bore
-what is +.20mm bore in terms or cylinder size... someone told me it would be 1.8 and a half.. is that true..
my motor is a B18c1

thanx

NOS ha ha ha

1 sorry but the short answer is no
2 t3/t4 are great! they come in so many different trims its not even funny you can even get a ball bearing upgrade for them now..... but ebay turbo's (ie xspower-ssautochrome) arent so hot their cheaply made and have been known to blow and cause serious damage to motors - imo if i were you i wouldnt use it
3 Je pistons are good and will most likely suit your needs
4 a .20mm overbore is a oversized piston. if you have a b18c1 you have a 81mm bore that means if you oderered those pistons for this motor it would be 81.20mm (not half) these pistons would only work if you had your motor bored over

hope that helps

aaaaaaaa shit man!
how did you guess? thats where i got the kit from. and as a matter of fact my buddy got the same one. i paid a G for it. it has a 50 trim.
damm but the turbo and shit looks pretty good. is the turbo manifold a POS too? or the intercooler?

yea i have to get the block machined... i wanted to go with a bigger bore but i guess i can settle with the 81.20mm

thanks for the help man take it easy

Garrett is a good turbo, but I still doubt that the whole thing is made by Garrett. They sometimes use a Garrett or Turbonetics turbine housing but not internally contain Garrett nor Turbonetics.

I dont understand why you didnt research first. That is a grand that you are playing with. Most Honda message boards knows the horror stories about those ebay companies:
-SSautochrome
-XSpower
-Stone Mountain
-OBX

They all make shitty turbo products. The sad thing is, I dont even know if you will be able to sell that.

ummm, we can't see the pic off your hard drive. Try a pic host like photobucket.

btw, do you usually modify your car by trial and error principals? do youself a favor and do some RESEARCH.
