I'm looking at getting a volvo. I've seen one today. I dont know a whole lot about these cars cept for the fact i've always loved the body style. It's a 1982 Volvo Turbo 200 Series w\197000 miles.The guys said about 30,000 he had the clutch and bottom end done. It's just sitting in the driveway he tried to start it up but battery was dead. He would'nt give me a price so i'm asking what i should offer for the car. There's a couple of volvo owners on hear so i figured I'd ask. Thanks in advance

 

I would say around 2000 just throw that at him and see what he says. good starting number I think.

 

82 is an old car. i would say TOPS for 2k i would start at 1250?

Hell yea. Talk him down to at least around 1500. Also check the car over very thoroughly for rust as well.

 

Your the main one I was looking for thanks!!.I forgot to add that he's the first owner and the body is in great shape(only surface rust). Was looking but could'nt find any good volvo sites so was wondering if you know a couple.

unless it's in amazing condition, i wouldn't pay over 1000. i mean shit, who knows how long it's been sitting there with its fluids and hoses rotting away if the battery's dead..

 

This ain't no turbo ford. These cars in nice condition even for the age and mileage can fetch at least a G.

 

if it's 24 years old, and has been sitting for an unknown amount of time without being ran, i don't care if it's a mercedes, i'm not paying over $1k for it. I'd give the motherfucker a case of bud select and $750.
