ok i have a 91 civic hatch with a z6 mini-me swap. i am still useing my dx trans which is cable. i have the z6 trans which was hydro. can i straight hook this trans up or will i need something special to make this trans work with my cable clutch setup! some say i do others say it will hook right up. please help!

 

Should hook right up, the A6 and Z6 are very similar blocks.

 

you would have to get the cable to hydro that i think hasport sells... not worth it though... sell your z6 tranny and buy an a6 si tranny for 89-91 Si...

 

hasport's kit is b-series only. i don't think anyone makes a conversion kit for the d-series engine, and frankly i don't see how you can do it without one.

luckily for you, god made the 88-91 crx/civic si cable tranny, which WILL bolt right up, doesn't blow like the dx tranny, and should run you under or around $100.

 

well after some blood sweatand tears i found out that i can take the z6 gear box and bolt it up to my trans case. some wont believe me but........i did it. gotta love us backyard tuners.
