Default For engine management....

go for the AEM EMS if you can afford it!

I broke down and bought it and damn was it the best decision I made yet. Car runs much smoother, idles better, doesen't have any cold running issues at all like it used to. Also I was able to get rid of the MAF!!!!

Big turbo here we come.

Duh.

if you want to go real management, full standalone is the only way to go. none of the piggyback freaking out issues.

ever ran a megasquirt? i have seen alot of good from it (SD is getting pretty good with them ) and its alot cheaper then AEM.

of course, it is nowhere near the plugnplay capabilities that the AEM is

FAST system here. Easy to set-up, and very user tuner friendly in my opinion. No experience with the AEM but it looks nice from what I see. I wish the fast had a e.g.t. recoreder built in, but you can't have it all.

I'm about to be running the 034EIC injector piggy-back, but down the road I plan on upgrading to the MegaSquirt n Spark setup. For under $500 TOTAL COST I could have a DIY full standalone setup, and it can be boost referenced, timing/MAP referenced, temperature indexed, and no need for a wheel/hall-effect sensor. It's growing in popularity REALLY fast! If you're decent with wiring, circuit boards, and some intuition, you could have that setup working flawlessly VERY quickly.

I was looking at the AEM myself, until I found THIS...

They make it for most cars, but that web site only carries it for a few.

system looks pretty nice, maybe a lil easier for the end user to use than the aem.
