Yokohama AVS ES100 owners
I was just wondering what you folks thought of them. I'm selling my current wheel/tire set-up and going with OEM WS6 wheels and I'm able to sell my current set-up and buy the new wheels for a good enough price to get some decent tires for a change.
I looked at GS-D3's, but i don't feel like paying $200 a tire. The Yokohama's are $131 a piece for 275/40/17's.
Any feedback is much appreciated.

Those are very nice tires, i know of quite a few people in the BMW community you like them. They're quite grippy, however they have decent treadwear.
I dont have MUCH driving time on them (the car is sitting waiting for me to fix it) but I have them on the 87 and they are very nice tires. I'll be putting them on the Spyder too (unless I get Neovas)

Good tires. Not the best in any category besides the price. One thing that they are is thoroughly predictable. You get alot of slip angle before they let go and they are easy to catch.
IMO out of a 10: (10 being a BFG KD/Azeni or MX)
Forward bite: 6
Braking bite: 7
Lateral grip: 6
Rain (standing water): 7
Rain (first drizzle): 0
Wear: 9
Price: obvious
I've had 2 sets on my bimmer and have lots of experience with racing tires. The Yok's are pretty good 4 the price...
