My gf wants something faster in her del sol SI, which she has owned for all of a week, and already gotten pulled over in. Anyway, I told her I had no idea on the cost of such things, so I'm asking here. What would a typical cost be for the easiest swap into a 93 del sol SI body? I don't want to make it faster than my car, but it'd be cool if she could give me a good run. Right now I have to shift at 3000 through thr first 4 gears and miss the 5th in order to give her a chance. And how much could I hope to get for her stock engine? It's only got 70k on it...

 

i say a gsr or b16. if it's an si it should already be wired up for vtec. i say a b16 it should also bolt in fairly easy and you can use the older b16;s with a cable tranny (i think) even if yuo put a type r engine in that thing, it won't be faster then your s2000. the delsol weighs as much as an integra. my friend has a fully bult b20/vtec in a delsol from importbuilders and he is running low 14's (due to no traction) so you should be fairly safe with a gsr or b16 engine.

 

yeah b16..i might have one for sale sometime soon in the near future..but you would need a tranny and wire harness
