Default Mikuni CV downdraft filters

I'm looking for individual air filters that'll fit the carburetor listed in the title. I have a 2000 R1 that doesn't technically have this option, but I know mikuni is a very common carburetor for sportsbikes, and I figure it's possible to mix and match. I'll be removing the air box, so size won't be such a limiting factor. Any suggestions?

They are 40mm. I found a set of four K&N pod filters for $208 ... can you beat that?

could get you four K&N 40mm clamp on filters for $180.39 after tax, they make them in four styles in 40mm inner diameter, the 2310 which is a round tapered starts at 3" ends in 2", the 2290 that starts at 2 5/8" and ends in 2", the 0870 which is a round filter that is 3" in diameter, and the 0840 which is a much shorter 3" round, if you go on www.kandn.com you can look up all the specs on the different filters

2310

2290

0870

0840

When I first browsed the site I couldn't find these, but thanks for showing me these. I'll probably be getting the 2310s, but have you ever seen anyone remove that chrome cap? I'll PM you when I actually order it. Thanks a lot.

btw this is ledzeprlz2 on a friends name(accident)

I checked and unfortunetly I can't do anything for you with those, they aren't something we would stock so buying them from you isn't really an option, and I'd return them to parts unlimited for you for say half the restock fee the other shop was charging, but we've never ordered those and they have a history of everything you've ordered and if you've never ordered it they will know and won't let you return it... sorry can't help you on that

if they were ordered in error by the shop, i'd talk to the parts manager, if he won't talk to you talk to the general manager, if he won't help you talk to the owner, if its not your fault, you shouldn't have to pay a dime til they get it right

Can I go ahead and get the 2290s from you? Just PM me with the info I'll need to give you and where to pick it up (unless you can ship). Thanks.
