Local S2000/Ferrari F40 owners dicsussion thread
I guess that would depend on what qualifies as serious to you. Serious as in Invasive and their highly modified track only car or serious as in shawn and his stock car he drives everyday and sees some track time?
Also I just googled Ferrari F50 brake pads. You won't believe the number of bargain brands that apparently have cheap pads for the F50 LOL
Maybe I should have worded my post better, and leave the "serious" part out. I have never seen a successful track S2000 run the OEM pads. The OEM pads fade horribly under track abuse, this is well known in the S2000 community.
Oem brakes suck on track in an s2000. The only reason someone would use oem pads would be to save their rotors from having to be replaced after a track session from overheating, because they wouldn't be able to brake as hard. I don't want these pads for anything other than daily driving and aggressive street driving. The car won't see VIR this year.
I might end up just leaving them alone until they need replacing, as I can probably get through until next year, then I can go ahead and get some track pads for the track and some street pads for the street, and swap pads/rotors out at the track.
Anyone know where I can find a Megan rear bump steer kit? Or which companies make them that don't want $400 for $30 in parts? If I can't find something cheap I'm just going to machine my own at work and buy some rod ends from somewhere. I have no idea where to look to shop for parts for the s2000 lol

The f40/f50 have I wanna say one of the most widely used pads out there, because brembo/stoptech/most bbk upgrades use those calipers.
Yeah, my x9 +30 with the NT05 255/40/17 would rub on my fronts even in a straight line(and my front fenders are rolled completely flat and have a little bit of a flare to em(not my doing). I really want to get some RPF1s in black and put my current tire setup on it. Noone is going to buy my wheels though.
yeah, this. And I don't have experience with them like I do with the Integra R, Civic Si or Civics in general. BUT being silly on the streets, I know exactly what youre talking about though.

Now that my wedding is over, and I have weekends free again, I am going to set up another big Sonic or Starbucks meet. I will post up some details when I get it all figured out.
